THE GREEN NEW SCAM

I am old enough to remember the poignant commercial of the Native American with a tear running down his cheek as he surveys the land littered with trash. A very effective ad, it conveyed without pontificating that we should be stewards of the land. Oh, to go back in time, back when environmentalists actually cared about the Earth and were not a political movement, heavily littered with Marxism. For the record, I consider myself a determined environmentalist. I care about real and practical solutions.
Take our open border, which is a humanitarian and national security crisis on a Biblical proportion. Beyond that, the open border is an environmental catastrophe. All that human waste and litter is extremely destructive and eventually ends up somewhere. Same could be said for the fast-growing homeless populations destroying our once gorgeous cities. Ranches along the border are being destroyed, cows and steers are traumatized and starving.
But instead of teaching children to love, appreciate, and tend to nature, government schools teach them to live in fear of Man’s effect on nature. That because of Man, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, and wildfires are all getting worse. They teach with no scientific basis; indeed, scientific data refutes their teachings. Even worse, celebrities, popular culture, and the Fake News echo these false sentiments. Like Dr. Fauci and his feckless Covid response, Al Gore and John Kerry’s dire doomsday predictions have never been realized, and they never apologize; they double down. Most likely because Fauci, Gore, and Kerry are profiting from their scams.
In 2008, Charles Krauthammer wrote an editorial for The Washington Post titled, “The Church of Global Warming.” Great title. In the piece Krauthammer quoted Czech president Vaclav Klaus, “The largest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity is no longer socialism. It is, instead, the ambitious, arrogant, unscrupulous ideology of environmentalism.”
Krauthammer went on to explain that the arrogance manifests in the declaration by the Left that Climate Change is a closed issue. He considers himself an agnostic on global warming, and questions man’s contribution. Ever the rational intellect, he believes in constant and more research. He also warns that there is no greater power than the power to ration. “And, other than rationing food, there is not greater instrument of social control than rationing energy, the currency of just about everything one does and uses in an advanced society.”
Of course, Man affects they environment. And of course, climate change exists. The earth’s climate has been changing since creation. All life affects the climate, with or without Man. Microclimates created by human development can be found in cities. Palm Springs has markedly more humidity due to swimming pools and sprinklers. But last I checked; it is still not possible to boil an egg off the Florida coast as Gore seems to imply will be happening soon. Are we some sort of god that controls the Earth? Or are we stewards that should be using all of our God-given brain power to make the Earth a better place? To that end, we need fossil fuels. And the United States should take the lead in developing fossil fuels. We do it better, and cleaner, than any other country. Fossil fuels have improved human life and nature in so many ways. Many more people are alive today because of fossil fuels. Life expectancy is longer. Our environment is cleaner.
Which brings me back to the Green New Scam. I have nothing against electric vehicles, per se. I love golf carts. If someone desires to own a hybrid or an electric car, by all means, go for it. But never, ever tell me what to drive on false pretenses. A little bit of research raises all sorts of questions about EVs’ environmental worthiness. Further, child slave labor is used to mine the minerals necessary to make EVs, slave labor that is working in mines owned by China. Everything proposed by AOC and her ilk benefits China, probably the worst polluter on earth. All things considered, Biden has been the worst President ever in a plethora of ways, including environmentally. Also, Biden has thrown trillions at mind-numbing, idiotic ideas that has caused human suffering, such as skyrocketing inflation. Only Godless Democrats consider humans as a life form completely apart from nature, not stewards of nature.
Further, EVs use electricity and in no way shape or form are ready for prime time. The infrastructure is simply not in place. It takes way too long to charge these vehicles. Still, in typical fashion, hapless Democrats simply double down and ask for more money. They propose that the trucking and farming industries, and even the military go electric. California outlaws gas-powered cars by a certain date but doesn’t have the electrical grid to power the small percentage of EVs that are currently on the road. A five-year-old could explain to any adult that this would make inflation out of control. Can you say packaged Ramon noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Unless, of course, you’re fortunate enough to live on a self-sustaining farm or commune. Or a rich, dumb celebrity.
Except for maybe the oil mogul, nobody likes looking at a landscape populated with oil rigs. But to me, wind turbines and solar farms are just as ugly if not uglier. They destroy century-old Joshua trees to build a solar farm. Also, they most likely cause more harm to wildlife, and yes, take oil to build. The proposal to put wind turbines the size of the Eiffel Tower in the ocean of the coast of the Eastern United States is diabolical. We already know it is killing the endangered Right Whales. What don’t we know? The oceans cover about 71% of the earth. We need to tend to them, not stick monstrous, sea-life-harming structures into them. Cleaning up the oceans would be money better spent than the trillions being spent on developing and mandating EVs.
Of course, this is not a research paper, it’s a blog. And I’m just scratching the surface of a topic that’s been hijacked by clueless Democrats. First off, we need to end the woke curriculum in government schools and return to teaching conservation in schools. To be true environmentalists, I believe we need to keep developing technology and fossil fuels. Trump was far better for the environment than Biden. Polls suggest people think Biden is better for the environment, but do not let your friends or/and family get away with those lies.
